News from the Heinz Family!!
Dear Family and Friends,
We spent July visiting family and friends in Illinois, updating several churches, and even had some time to finish some odd jobs at Molly’s Mom’s house like pouring a small concrete sidewalk. The corn was incredibly tall this year in Illinois!
Lucy will start teaching 4th grade near Orlando, Florida on Aug 16th. We spent the first two weeks of August finding her a townhouse and starting to find some basic kitchen supplies and furniture. We were also able to help her set up her classroom. Amanda registered for nursing classes and purchased a 2 foot stack of books for the semester. She has started reading already even though her first day of classes is Aug 23. We will be dropping Noah off in New York City Aug 19-23rd. He will be living in a brand new 18 story dorm building on the lower east side that is being shared by three colleges. When we get back we will continue to help Lucy to get settled in until we return to Kazakhstan on Sept 17th.
Please pray about our visa situation. We started the process Aug 1 and we have found out that the best we can do is a 4 month visa. The rules have changed again and we will no longer be able to get a 1 year visa in the way we have for the past 12 years. So our plan is to return to Kazakhstan as planned and look into other ways of getting our visas going forward. We may end up having to leave Kazakhstan every 4 months to obtain another visa. Kyrgyzstan is only about a 2 hour drive, so we can go there to get our visas. This may be the beginning of events that may require us to exit Kazakhstan (temporarily or permanently) or merely a bump in the road. Please keep this in your prayers.

- Praise for Lucy’s adjustment to her new job and living in Orlando. For Amanda’s junior year and first year of Nursing School. For Noah’s first year of College in Manhattan. That they would each glorify Christ in all they do.
- Pray for protection for Kalkaman Bible Church during our furlough.
- Pray for wisdom for us in pursuing a new way of getting visas.
- Pray for the Lord to raise up a Kazakh man to pastor Kalkaman Bible church here long-term.
